Anthony and his team built a bookcase into a hallway nook, replaced the kitchen backsplash and inserted a glass panel into my front door. They were amazing. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job on schedule. Each day, they told me what to expect the next day. But that is what one would expect.
These guys exceeded expectations in so many ways. They figured out how to install the backsplash (hand-painted portugese Azulejos) without waste and without the dusty mess of removing the original tiles. They fussed over details that I would never have noticed; like, disassembling and reassembling part of the built-in bookcase so that it was in perfect alignment (the discrepancy was only miniscule before the adjustment). They took pride in their work and I benefitted from that. They even hung my (big) new pantry spice rack, a job that was not on the list and that would have been really hard for me to do by myself.
All in all, Godfrey & Company provided skilled craftsmen who performed exceptional, high-quality work.

Godfrey & Company were simply outstanding! The engineering competence, professionalism, transparency and integrity of the entire Godfrey staff and its contractors gave us confidence throughout this major undertaking for us and our home.
At the beginning of our complete interior home renovation, Ed, Don and staff presented us with a comprehensive proposal, including a breakdown of all costs and a detailed set of 23 drawings that Don kept updated on a regular basis and when a change order was needed or requested by us. Our renovation lasted 4 months and included replacing 2,000+ sq ft of flooring, replacing our kitchen and two full bathrooms, upgrading our electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems, and a complete interior re-painting, along with other upgrades.
While we were away during the renovation, Don and our project manager, Anthony, kept in virtually daily contact by text, email and phone. Godfrey also uses an easily navigable web site with complete job, management, financial and contract information. Daily or several times weekly, the web site was updated with a description of the day’s/week’s work with photographs and a description, and a text reminder was sent to us. We also appreciated the extra follow-up work of Ryan, Ken and others after we returned home.
We could not be more pleased with our renovation and highly recommend Godfrey & Company to anyone looking for an excellent and honest home improvement contractor.

From the first meeting with Ed, we knew that this was the company for our project. His desire to fulfill the vision of the client is incredible. He kept us advised as to when materials were coming in. Once they were all in, we moved on to Anthony and we were impressed again. His desire to make the remodel fit into our daily life and to get it done in a most timely manner was beyond expectations. Last but certainly not least, Ryan performed all the work in our home. His only desire was to make us happy with everything he did. It is rare to find true craftsmen anymore but Ryan is that for sure. We had a major updating project at our condo and Ed Godfrey and his team did a fantastic job. Much of the work was very exacting and tedious and they did a meticulous job. We were up North and Roe did all the searching for new flooring and tile and sent pictures of her selections for me to choose. We arrived this winter to find a beautiful condo.
